I think Jada knows a bit more about acting and Hollywood than us, so if she sees an issue, then that is valid.

she just starred on Gotham last year, was she expecting to be nominated for that role or something?

I ask.

I honestly dont understand "color" artists complaining for lack of support to their music.

n

Ur fcking racist

:kii:

You dont get sense of humour I see. Rig made a reply to me complaining I said "black" actors.

So I changed my approach and used the other usual expression, at least on europe. "people of color" is used A LOT on media and tv. If u havent seen/read it yet, then you must start reading some newspapers or watching some News shows.
I don't know you

i don't think the music industry is really much of a black thing
it's a genre thing

if you look at the 90s-early 00s
the billboard was dominated by R&B, which allowed more black artists to thrive.

the climate just changed, as it always does.

Idk babe because the blacks are doing the pop mess and are still flopping. I mean look at Usher, Chris, now Rihanna, Ciara, Jason used to at least get one hit but

I agree on the lawrence complain, tho. This is just marketing, the Academy LOVES to award certain people over and over. thats the nature of many industries, music one included. No way Taylor Swiftz deserves all those grammies. Same with other artists.

But it is how it is.
but thts not how it should remains

if we want real change we rlly gotta do sumthin
tha cycle of holl'wood is nasty
run by racist billionaires..we gotta stop buyin their products
kick them OUT of business, if we break tha cycle, we break an era of intol'rance toward blck actors n actresses!

u ev' hear tha story of tha man & his pale?
he walked up four hills each day jus to fill it but wen he finish tha walk back down the four hills; his pale was always empty
he did this n repeated this cycle for 4 yrs and eventually died
kno why?
cuz he never bother to check the pale!
there was a hole in tha bottom of it
well now ..us blck ppl see tht hole & we aint let this mess go no more
tht story touch me n it should wake up blck ppl

People keep bringing up the fact that Lupita won an Oscar, but she can't even book a damns role that doesn't feature her as animated animal or midget creature, but Jennifer Lawrence just gotta snap a finger for a role but yall don't see the problem.

black actors taking it personal once again

Where there AWESOME performances by a black actor last year? just because there were some roles played by black actors doesnt mean SOME have to be nominated for the sake of "diversity".

Its about the best performances. Seems like some people dont get this yet.

Where are the asian actors nominations?
the latin ones?
the spanish ones?

Stop being so damm sensitive, lol. "Blacks are sidelined" "blacks this" "blacks that" pleaaaaaaaaase, lol.
i actually agree, thats why i asked were there any really great performances by african americans or any african american movies that warranted a nod?  Ride Along 2 isnt gonna fckn cut it

nice to see someone actually getting the point.

Some people take opinions as shade or non sense or something.

Halle has gotten an Oscar, Denzel has gotten one, Lupita another one. Will Smith has been nominated if Im not wrong.

on Tv, Kerry has been nominated, Viola has been nominated for both tv and movie roles...

I mean.... where is exactly the boycott?  :dead: :dead: :dead:

Now tell me who was the last asian actor nominated. I dont even know if one recieved a nom in the last 2 decades. So if there is a real boycott is to asian industry, same with latin actors.

And I dont have to be black to understand this issue.  :dead: Im hispanic, so hey, Im on the minority too.

:plea:

wow...three or four niggers won an Oscar over the span of nearly one hundred years! let's pack it up and go home, guys.

:uhh:

And tell Julie Chen and nem to rally up the troops if the lack of diversity bothers them. This is about an issue affecting OUR community.

Herb.

Wait a minute Spike Lee got his honorary Oscars in November.  Of course he can boycott now. He def should've been nominated this year.  ^o)

with usher, you gotta remember where his true fanship lies. the r&b girls are not going up for his pop.
chris... is just chris.
ci... she more gives you an urban lean and slays when it's her time.
rih... just a bad era
jason... he does get pop hits and is doing well with earning a Top 10 each time he releases
