I'd love a performance of Michael really giving it

Cause I ain't seen it

Where my ass feels tired watching him
Like damn how he still going

Give me that

Have you seen the Victory and Bad performances?  Those were when he was at his peak and singing live for the whole show.  Buckets of sweat during the performances.  He started lipping with Dangerous because he wanted to up production/not get gassed.

Michael literally gave his life as a performer.  Had to get surgeries, scalp grafts, rickety knees and aching back all from performing since he was 11.  How can you watch him crash to his knees performing Man in the Mirror and not see he was giving his all?   :uhh:

Bey is smart because she gives you enough to think it's a great show, but she also does enough to preserve her voice and body so that she can do this into old age, if she chooses.

Thanks

I only see the stuff of him spinning, kicking his leg out, saying hehe and people fainting. That's what girls post to say he's the best

I'll look up some of his mess

I always feel like you have to judge a artist through the lens of their time. Choreography and staging date very easily, to view MJ thru a 2021 lens is a bit unfair.

If a girl with great talent was given 20 years to study Bey, I'm sure she would know how to present herself to make to make it look grander and more modern, which would make Beyoncé work look dated, and someday that will happen.

The reason why I'd say MJ is incomparable is because of the innovation. He was a revolution, Beyoncé is an evolution. He radically changed things and influenced many. I wouldn't say Bey has radically changed much and her influence has only show itself thru Normani & Chloe.
you make great points but her influence certainly stretches a lot farther than Normani and Chloe

Mike wasn't even the best live performer in his family.

People won't say it because he came before Jan's and is the main reason that anybody in the Jackson family was put on.
His discography and videography is untouchable...no doubt but him being surpassed as a performer can be true at the same time.

And if you don't see Bey'e influence on every female artist (black ones especially) after 2003, than you're blind.

Her solo debut had record executives changing up their formulas on how to push a female artist. She became the template. She casted an unbelievable shadow...still does. That's influence. Influence that goes beyond some retarded BeyHive stans who sit and argue on social media. A lot of it has do with her ability to perform. We used to anticipate her award show performances. Legit

Chloe? Normani? That's her only influence? Boy get the fu...🤣

It's hard to know what you want to see when you say "not really giving it." Do you mean you mean you want to see full choreography? Or do you want a light show? He's not going to have a performance with 100 different Micheals on a screen, looking like they're really there and doing different formations behind him, then disappearing. They didn't have that kind of technology back in the 80s and early 90s. That doesn't mean he was lacking in performance abilities, to me.

Exactly technique is so much better also. I was at Bey's concert and the video on the screen of her is slightly slomo at times. Not enough to notice for people who don't pay attention, but there are definitely effects to make the show look better. She is still doing a great job but I'm just saying there are wow moments that have even more impact because she has the best team/techniques/lights.

By the way I'm still wondering what type of edit Mariah has at her concert because that waste looked so snatched on screen and in reality it just looked different. Maybe I'm paranoid but :diddraispoot:

Excellent first point. Bey relies heavily on VFX to enhance her performances.
Mike could kinda slay without all that.
