it's a haircut, but we don't know how long their hair was
and what work she had been putting in to maintain it.

if they had long hair that means she had to be putting in work to keep it kept and growing.

now if they already had a close shaven caesar mess owt to begin with

i think it's because they're boys that people won't see the big deal, I suppose.

well for one ; like you said: we dont know how long the hair was .
so lets not choose any sides to justify the reaction or defend it

aside from the hair altogether:

the woman is making a public scene in front of her children
is using her rights to back this man into a corner just to be spiteful about the hair
is using her own children by manipulating their minds into having the perception she has of him; that alone is completely horrible. she's completely fine with her sons growing up hating their father because their minds were tampered with into thinking he was so villainous--completely disgusting.

She is literally continuing the cycle of broken black families; and right before our eyes.
