that didn't help but it wasn't going further with those ratings. Maybe if it were a streaming only show and not network tv. Those shows typically get away with low ratings for a couple years

Surprising to no one. 

I watched every episode on Hulu the next morning after it aired to support and enjoyed it for what it was, but the writing was absolutely atrocious. There were a few gems musically, but even that potential was poorly tapped with the caliber of artists on deck and also swizz beatz 

I remember the girls going off saying the lead-in wasn't good enough and Abbott Elementary turned out to be one of the biggest shows of the season on network TV

Yup! I kept listening to the music but stopped watching.  I just didn't really care for the premise. I want brandy in a REAL drama type show like scandal or sumn
