I highly doubt that it would've been smooth sailing for her to get in touch with Beyonce the day before her album is released. Getting in touch with Beyonce period Im sure is not the easiest thing to do. It's really not the same. The "damage" cant be done and then we say Kelis could've done this instead. That aint right. being that Bey legally got the song cleared, it doesn't make a difference if she got to her before the album released or not. If she wants to know why Bey did it how she did, or whatever she wants to know. It's gonna be even harder now probably that she's out here slandering the girl's name

there's really no question about whether legally/technically fas "owed" anything to kelis before releasing this. the answer is flat out no if kelis has no rights to the song.

but i think the reason this entire mess is actually picking up steam is because fas does push that whole "women empowerment! we allz we gotz!" tea.
