there's really no question about whether
legally/technically fas "owed" anything to kelis before releasing this. the answer is flat out no if kelis has no rights to the song.
so we can get that out the way. almost pointless in discussing that.
but i think the reason this entire mess is actually picking up steam is because fas does push that whole "women empowerment! we allz we gotz!" tea.
kelis's question clearly is "sis, you are all about this and that and you couldn't even reach out to say hey girl, love ur song and imma use it for my alber! props to u luv.
