She was so talented but it's important to not sweep this fact under the rug.

I love whitney but celine is my favorite singer from the whitney/celine/other girl trio. I can't even believe that other girl Is even considered the same caliber of singer as these 2 powerhouses  :omf:

Quote from: Black Ashkenazi on January 01, 2023, 01:56:34 PMafter reading what they're looking at it makes just a lil more sense.

this preface...they KNEW. sfnsfnfsnsfnfsnsfnfs

i checked for an explanation because im like it's no way they're looking into singing technicalities like control and range , etc.

QuoteBefore you start scrolling (and commenting), keep in mind that this is the Greatest Singers list, not the Greatest Voices List. Talent is impressive; genius is transcendent. Sure, many of the people here were born with massive pipes, perfect pitch, and boundless range. Others have rougher, stranger, or more delicate instruments. As our write-up for the man who ended up at Number 112 notes, "Ozzy Osbourne doesn't have what most people would call a good voice, but boy does he have a great one." That could apply to more than a few people here. and when ur talking about the "best singers"

i was about to say what the FUCK. why did they get it THIS wrong if we're talking about things in singing that can actually be measured and that are more technical?

The list is still trash.
But something like this is somewhat subjective, anyway.

If it weren't for her shrill ass tone. Whitney's voice is just so much more pleasant sounding. But as far as skill, Celine can do anything with her voice

Celine was my favorite of the girls that era too, but I think it's because Celine was putting out more projects to keep you engaged.  That was Whitney's movie soundtrack era.

Mariah is currently #1 on the Hot 100
