I wish Christmas with Brandy didn't even take place until she cleaned house and got a new team. A new publicist / photographer is very much needed. I'm not an editor or a publicist but there's definitely some disconnection going on. I truly hope b8 era is totally different.

The fact that she's going into 2024 with this team is scary. They really don't know what to do and are not in sync.

Nobody cares about no damn Essence and Ebony magazines. Do they even still print physical copies?? Brandy is highly celebrated. This is not the same fight that Lenny mentioned.

Says who?! Essence is still top tier when it comes to Black publishers, so that visibility especially with their new creative director, Corey Stokes who's been killing the covers lately would be a book for her

I think the Essence Black Women in Hollywood Award honorees get covers.  The event focuses on actresses with recent work, so with 3 recent projects she qualifies. But Essence editors aren't going to know she qualifies because she's not getting pitched for anything and rarely seen to know she's an active actress with successes.

Also Brandy seemed like one of the few celebs who kinda kept her fans in the loop. But I think all that went out the window after some of the Starz tried to blackmail her to release music. I remember her venting about it on Snapchat years ago.

I really wanna know why she lipped synced most of her b7 performances. Especially the Pandora one.

The Soul train performance during b7 was lipped and then she dropped the mic at the end to act as if it wasn't. What was the purpose of that? 

I get not touring during the last couple years because of the pandemic and she was busy with Queens shortly after. A Virtual concert could have been done. Acoustic YouTube performances. Even the GMA performance she did of Baby Mama was lipped and it was filmed in her house. I wonder if Brandy doesn't enjoy singing live anymore either? Did something happen to her voice recently? Especially with the conflict she had with the Kennedy center where she refused to not use her backing tracks.

Tori Kelly made use of doing concerts with a YouTube Live stream for her last two albums. I think Fantasia also did a pay per view type of event.

I think this all the time. I hate sometimes that she was labeled with that b/c she's way more in her head when she doesn't have to be... even if she had bad live moments it's probably still gon be better than her peers
