Yea I can't really even say if Brandy is a good love singer (we know she can sing) cause she rarely does it. Beyonce, Cynthia and Jasmine take the cake for me for secular live singing.

I would like Brandy to get her hunger/confidence back that she had from 2/11 era to pre-pandemic 2019. when she was live, it was on-point and it actually showcased her growth vocally and as a live performer... there were lipped moments of course but it was either for award shows or to mix up her setlist for spot dates to preserve for the live moments. And she was SANGIN post-broadway, Star, clap back, thick era. So idk if the pandemic or a health scare got her shook but there was def a shift in vocal approach and quality even when she does lip

Like everyone else said I'm happy she's getting such a huge moment so I'll take it since it's rare but I kinda wanted her to wow the ppl back for the Barclays show b/c she's capable (and has done it before)

She lost her confidence during that Kennedy center issue when she wanted to use her backtracks and they told her it's to complicated with a live orchestra. Idk if she developed a vocal issue or  what...but she hasn't been the same as a performer since then and all her recordings have become overproduced since then as well.
