I disagree.  I don't think her stacks/layers are too much. It's the effects and the mixing that make it sound muddled.  Beyonce's backgrounds are just as intricate/layered, but have better mixing, in my opinion.

None of this excites me anymore and y'all still on here thinking Bran is "inspired" to create more music and a classic album w/ no skips.....hang it up!! I guess it's gonna be another 10 years b4 we get another Brandy album.

Bran needs a complete overhaul on her team and willingness to let someone lead her in a new direction musically. Bran is always praised musically so why is she acting like Kehlani is the only person to do it? Bran should have been on the remix for this song, why are they acting like it's so hard to get done? And why does Bran keep using those effects on her voice and giving us those thin and whiny leads??? I need debut Brandy to come back and SANG w/ some placement and keep it simple.

Beyonce has been sooooo good and innovative with her backgrounds and stacks on these last two albums. It hurts me to say but her approach and execution of backgrounds has been better than anything Bran has given us in the last 5-7 yrs. I'm so pissed I could cry...Bran please take this music shxt seriously and take ur crown again 🥲

I really hope Brandy can find new people to work with. She became obsessed with over-layering around the time she had the drama with the Kennedy center, when those ppl told her to dial it back and she took offense to it.

She sounds beautiful here though, but as someone else said...wish her voice would take the lead more.

I want to say this with the most respect, but do you think Lashawn Daniels (RIP) played a large roll in the Brandy sound we love and appreciate, and his absence is what we are missing?

I think that whole team helped curate a sound.  I think that's why we haven't been gotten a Tomorrow or Love wouldn't count me out since Fatchild and them. They're also the reason she started the stacks tho too. Rodney said during full moon he convinced Brandy to stack cause Michael Jackson was stacking and she aint been the same since. The difference was they still threw some SINGING in there too. They pushed her to sing and now she doesn't have that. All she wanna do is coo and layer up the fckn coos
