if there's a legitimate email like this article is claiming, Donnie is toast

Donnie's lawyer seems to be pointing out the time between now and when the alleged interaction occurred (10 - 20 years ago)
but it's not uncommon at all for victims of abuse to take years to really process what happened to them and call a spade what it is.

many times it takes time for someone to realize and admit to themselves that they were taken advantage of.
especially when there are things like beloved "mentors" and huge age gaps involved

the fact that it took this long actually makes it more believable to me.

If this is true Donnie is finished
and I think I remember him saying he was about to retire from music or something. Very interesting timing on that

In the back of mind I'm feeling it could all be a cash grab though. It's really easy to believe this man famous Christian pastor who has always struggled with his sexuality, was secretly assaulting young men
Hmmm

i was considering that until I saw the email mentioned
there's only so many ways "im a dirty old man" can be interpreted. if this email was in fact sent by Donnie and it can be confirmed.

that and the timing. the fact that it falls in that pattern of people coming forward years later after accepting that they were taken advantage of.

i think this could be a legitimate claim

klappa.

i need to see some proof. you were forced for years? idk. gotta make sure this isn't just an attempt at a cash grab from a scorned ex lover.

This is my pass to say WHATEVER tf I wanna say about the mess she releases so I don't wanna hear SHIT! Baby mama is a mess of a song btw

Kalifornia.

I believe it. This isn't the first time someone has come out with allegations about Connie.

those emails will be crucial in really painting the picture.

what reason would someone have to send one saying "im such a dirty old man" to a 21 year old?

why would u even be having this type of conversation with your mentee is 20+ years your junior?

men are so sloppy with their mess but it's good that they are.

at the very least, Donnie was manipulating that young man if he was communicating with him like that while in a position of "mentorship". and i'd say he's entitled to coins just for that alone - even if it wasn't rape.

yes. It's interesting that the email was sent back in 2013 he says, but he just recently discovered it and that prompted this whole thing
So he better be able to prove that it is a real email coming from Donnie

the email could have triggered him.

especially if Donnie was actually stupid enough to put all this mess in writing

Quote"I am the actual epitome of a desperate dirty 'old man'," he allegedly wrote in the message, according to the lawsuit, "pawning and groping a young man who is just looking for a friendship and close plutonic relationship with someone he wants looks to for help, guidance and spirituality."

"I feel so foul...so stupid," McClurkin added in the email, according to Corletto's lawsuit, which was filed Friday in state Supreme Court in Manhattan.

wat kinda signed confession .

but it's possible. when someone is overcome by guilt or shame they may not be thinking clearly or strategically. especially if he was drinking or under influence at the time of writing.

also possible Donnie may have assumed his poor lil' "mentee" wasn't capable of mustering up the strength needed to hold him accountable. especially considering this was allegedly sent before the "metoo" era.

I would definitely feel triggered to come across something like that
Just the likelihood that he discovered this email from 12 yrs ago? I'm guessing this was an account that doesn't get a lot of other mail that would have buried it over the years

its def possible

ive def come across a relatively important email or two that i missed from YEARS ago
usually when i revisit/search an email i still have access to for nostalgic teas.

now if it were a text sent 10+ years ago id prob have a harder time believing that initially
as u literally get a notification on ur phone with a whole preview of the mess.

sdsddsdssdsdsd

still possible to even miss that but this email story isn't crazy.

it's not impossible it's just throwing a curve ball in the story. I can see maybe 2,3 maybe 5 year old emails just popping up. But 11-12 yr old? Those are usually like, archived or something where you have to actively go and look for them.
Then now in court their going to have to trace the message to an IP address that will hopefully match somewhere Donnie lived or was frequently at back in 2013

Oh this is a mess

if Donnie was using that same email to communicate with this guy well before 2013, it won't be hard at all to reasonably accuse him of sending the incriminating one

most reasonable people , including a judge, would be inclined to believe he sent that one too if it came from an email he always used and it included specific details regarding dealings he had with this guy.

the burden of proving Donnie did NOT send them would then be on Donnie's lawyer. they'll have to pull out some creative ass stories to explain it away

now if it's some random gmail that had no known ties to Donnie beforehand, that's a different story.
