!!!! I wish she just would've sung the mess... it felt more like Prune's Diary was singing it and she's just ad libbing. I respect her wanting to take a risk and create a potential iconic moment...

But this song is so traditional... most people just aren't gonna get it, and I'm not sure if it was worth the risk.

I think Brandy fans and "vocal connoisseurs" can recognize and respect what she was doing but the average viewer just doesn't get it.

Absolutely beautiful, but this could have been a huge moment for her
if she would stop with all the harmony arrangements. She is not in a group so this made
zero sense. Also, she is not slick; she did very few leads here. I feel like she was
being a bit lazy as a solo artist. I mean you are already lipping it. How much do you not want to sing anymore?

its one of the very few times i actually repeat-played someone's anthem performance
