It just sounds like Bran is forcing extra rasp vs just placing it nicely and then giving full voice where it's needed. When she started it gave but then I expected her to transition and it stayed in this heavy almost force-like rasp.

Idk why she keeps doing this...it's annoying. It's like she's been going out of her way to do everything but sing out fully. If she's not lip syncing live she's gonna overstack her vocals and if she can't hide on backgrounds she gonna give this excessive murmured tone in the studio.

Brandy really just gets in her head too much. JUST SING.

I wonder where is all this extra shyness about her voice coming from recently.

that makes sense why those vocals sound like that.  Brandy needs a good vocal producer and whoever records her vocals for her needs to be fired
