Y'all are talking about the treatment of blacks in hollywood and the industry based on who  is and isn't marketable or will appeal to certain demographics. Yes lighter skin blacks are marketable and blacks in general are stereotyped and thrown into the same old roles. That's not what we were talking about though.

Even if that were the case, which it is not, because we are not talking about just that. Who are these films made for in the end? The average (white) person. So THEY obviously feel more comfortable with someone less black/dark. You basically proved our point.

The way they consider the smallest drop of brown in skin color as "dark" and a bad thing is sad.
