jus throw her a damns railroad & shes outta there any ep now

Scott.

Tyler needs some more writers. The show is good, but it can be GREAT with better development. I don't see why that point is being missed.

Lol. His show does need some fresh blood in the writing department. As epic as "The Haves and the Have Nots" is, we shouldn't have to sit through a whole season where we've only seen 3 days of drama and mess. It's so annoying.

they don't even do that on soaps  :plzstop: :plzstop: :plzstop:

stupid self

and fuck SLavennah

Oh dear...I haven't read the full article, I skimmed but here's my two cents...

I am a fan of his show For Better or Worse, and casually watch House of Payne. Tyler's shows are...nothing groundbreaking honestly, mediocre at best...some good TV to pass the time...But he's not without his flaws...IMO the biggest problem with his shows is originality, plot development, and PACING.

Tyler found success in theatre and stage production, but he's limited as he uses the same approach for his movies and TV shows. The pacing in his shows is glacial as he tackles them as if they were plays. He also recycles plot points between shows. His character Angela from "Better or Worse" used a pregnancy plot that was used on his older show "House of Payne"

So yeah, he needs to improve on the pacing on his storylines. If he does that, his storylines may improve, be more original, and his character development won't be as boring as watching paint dry. His drive and self-sufficiency is admirable, but there's strength in knowing that you can't do everything on your own.

RIGHT. I love Tyler, but I hate he rehashes certain things from his previous work. "The Haves and the Have Nots" is nothing more than a tv-version of his movie, "A Family That Preys". Same plot and everything

I still haven't seen this show :dead: A lot of people seem to love it tho

Let's not act like you weren't tuned into Oprah's Next Chapter. The Rih, NPH, Beyonc? and a few other interviews slayed and got major ratings.

She could've gotten someone other than Tyler to do shows but chose him cause they were friends.

With that being said, he is a sorry ass friend to not take criticism from another friend and instead get mad at her. Really sad. Acting like the petty queen everyone believes him to be.

QuoteAmong all of OWN programming since the network's January 2011 debut, only a March 2012 Oprah?s Next Chapter interview with Bobbi Kristina has drawn more viewers (3.5 million) than the February 4, 2014 episode of The Haves and the Have Nots.[25] The Haves and the Have Nots episode in question is "Why Didn't You Tell Me?" On Tuesday, March 11, 2014, however, the mid-season 2 finale of The Haves and the Have Nots set a record for all of OWN programming, scoring the highest ratings in the station's history. The record-breaking episode brought in 3.6 million viewers, surpassing the 3.5 million that tuned in for Oprah Winfrey's interview with Bobbi Kristina.[25] Not only was the episode the most watched broadcast in all of OWN history but it came in at number 1 among all of cable television and number 4 among all shows on television for its airing night

ACK

I wasnt tuned in  :mmywheresddy:

Let's not sit here and pretend that Tyler's shows didnt improve her ratings for OWN. Im not even a Tyler fan, but fact is fact.A lot of people in this thread calling for new writers, which I agree with them, wouldnt be doing so if they didnt watch the shows themselves. I just do not like Oprah's approach....fuck it, I just dont like Oprah.
