Not a 5 album, 360 deal
:usureuok: :everythingok: :usureuok: :everythingok: :usureuok: :usureuok:

Thank GOD she got out of that mess. Now we're about to get the project that she really will love and put her everything into.
no God. it was 5 albums (still bad) but never 360

thats what they wanted her to do

!!!

Clearly not everyone is reading for comprehension.

It's obvious her deal with Chameleoon was a good deal on paper. It wasn't until the RCA distribution for Chameleon ended and Breyon went to work for EPIC did things start to get rocky. I recall the board noticing the change on the Chameleon site a few years ago odd and everyone wondering if Brandy was going to EPIC with Chameleon.

I'm certain that her 5 album deal had some very solid things in it.

And it's not sad, many large artists have had label and contract issues including MJ, Prince, and Toni Braxton. There is nothing embarrassing about getting your legal shit straight so a motherfucker can't come back in 3 years when you've earn certifications and awards and have sold out tours.

!!!!!

im sure he wasn't on drugs and doing shady mess behind the scenes TO Miguel though. Maybe for Miguel, but there's a difference

Double dipping where? All Miguel does is music. The fuck? A 360 deal wouldn't make his label any money :dead: Brandy does it ALL and she'd be retarded to shake hands with this devil yet AGAIN just to get a third single and a video. The hell would that do? Her sanity is a bit more important

comparing those situations is asinine at best, when they're in no way shape or form similar

whatever

Well I don't know what the man does in his personal life, but I do know that A LOT of folks in the industry does recreational drugs.

I want to correct myself. Mark Pitts was TRIPLE dipping. Meaning he was getting paid from Miguel by managing him, Miguel was signed to his label imprint through RCA AND he was employed by RCA.

Breyon is double dipping like the article says because he's employed by Epic and would make money off of Brandy through his imprint with Epic Records.

It's definitely different because when Breyon was with RCA I don't think he held a position but just his imprint was signed with RCA so he had no pull like someone like Mark Pitts who was head of urban (now the president).

I didn't see her contract and neither have you, so I cant say if she had a 360 or not, and I don't think they were referring that to double dipping.

whatever

Also I wasn't implying that she should take the deal, I just remembered that and posted it.

Much love to Bran.

Hope that first part wasn't directed towards me because I read all the articles before posting and I still don't understand someone as established as Ghan to sign a 5 album deal. That's nonsense.

And cut out that CLEARLY! Obviously! shit. I'm sure all of us are replying based off assumptions.

But we don't know if the original deal she signed was a bad deal per say. The problem appears to be the new deal they were trying to force her into. And then being petty when she didn't sign.
Mariah Carey just signed a several album deal with Epic. If anything, I can see why an established artists would want to sign a multi album deal. It's comfort and believe it or not MANY veterans artist sign multi album deals when they renegotiate or mover labels. If it is presented as appealing.

Opposites Attract.

I'm sure the sales of Two Eleven played apart as well. I get she doesn't want to give 15% to Epic but what does she expect? If she's gonna independent then yeah but no label is gonna give her a deal like she's had before. She doesn't have the track record for the old standard deal. It sucks but this is the business in 2016.

I hope that man gives her, her coin and she invest that money into her next album because she's gonna need it. I'm gonna pray for her.

Well they must have recouped their money back from 211 because she doesn't owe them any money so it's not like they lost money. And there are better options then a 360 deal if she was/is fighting to avoid it so she can sign another deal if she wants.

BORderline

So many fags sitting here talking about labels and contracts when all u got is a 8$/hour deal with McDonalds...
