1:
It wouldn't have been appropriate performing the entire record with some of those lyrics.

2:
And she said she wanted to reach the biggest audience possible.
ok so.... basically

1:
The lyrics aren't REALLY about Black Women/People empowerment if the lyrics aren't appropriate in a setting like BGR

And 2:
Yea I kinda FIGURED she just wanted attention and wanted to cause a buzz on a big platform. Never was about a real cause like the girls argued me down about.

LOLZ!!!!!!!!

Hun shutup I'm not in the mood

Blacks are already informed about all the mess going on in america. Performing at the Superbowl was to let everyone else know.

MAY

Beyonce doesn't care about Black people tbqfh

Brit Brat

I feel like she already made her statement at the Super Bowl. There pretty much isnt a need to perform it again after that, except for on her tour.

But at the same time.... I can also kinda understand what Bent' was saying... If your purpose was to "empower" black women, this kinda seemed like the most appropriate opportunity to reach those women... if that was your intention.

I cant see them asking to honor Rih before Bey, and that's no shade..... especially after Formation. I'm sure Bey declined.

And if she performed it would've been "give somebody else a chance!  Always taking the spotlight"

So yeah

The Superbowl was the smartest choice and it reached many difference audiences, not just one.

Didnt perform Formation at BGR!

Outside of the Super Bowl it wouldve been a great platform! I feel she was kind of missing in action.
THANK YOU GYN!

We've debated on this topic before, but I'm glad you said this.

Love ya! 😘

I honestly think she feels like she's bigger than BET now. She's may act like it but she's not really for the cause
