Again, we're back to assuming her own words are untrue. And jumping to conclusions without hard evidence. If anything, even if she was lying it just shows how careful and tactful she is when it comes to making sure she doesn't offend anyone, regardless of her personal views.
There's a difference between a white racist person who hates Black people, and a person who may have certain beliefs about Blacks, but does not want to be seen as a racist because they do not align themselves with that group of people.
I can sit here and bash how White people have treated my ancestors all day. But at the end of the day I had to use a similar line as well. Which is , "Yes I have my beliefs about this group of people in GENERAL, however I do get along with many white people and love them personally." Which is actually true. But Someone could easily assume that I am bullshitting. And try to call me out on it. Which has actually happened on here a couple times.
So it all circles back to taking the word or not.
