And honestly it feels good. Like really good. Not just knowing, just finishing something that I started.
I didn't give up or get discouraged. The answers didn't come in a week or two. Or three or even seven weeks.
A great sense of pride I feel right now has little to do with the actual history, because I'm the same that I was before I started this. I just know more now.

It's the satisfaction that I went for what I wanted and I got it. Not only for me but for the woman who sacrificed her golden years to raise me.
This is also a gift to her. She is so excited.
I could never repay her for what she's done for me and my sisters and she's not expecting or looking for repayment but it feels good to be able to do this for her.

My mother's sister is excited as well.

I'm so proud for what I did for myself and for my family.
And I know more about a big part of who my mother was. I feel closer to her.
My dad is still here. She isn't.
