Do y'all know how to have a rationale conversation without let y'all pride or ego get in the way?

it depends, sometimes yes. I have to feel like the other person is being completely transparent and open for me to completely let down my guard, otherwise im always ready to toss a bit

Define putting in your place ? And shouldn't there be a way to settle things and find a common ground with out "putting someone in their place" or even leading up to that.

It depends, too many variables. It depends on who it is, what the situation is, how strongly I feel about it, etc. Im honestly a very rational person and am open to calmly and peacefully settling things. Another factor is the way u come at me, very important if u expect me to not just hear u but LISTEN

Def cant deal with a closed off person. If you cant be vulnerable then you cant be honest. And from that point youre disingenuous and disconnected.  No and no thanks. I feel like those who cant express themselves fully, for whatever reason, miss out on growing. It was this one conversation when we were just getting to know each other and a topic came up and welll.... LMAO.

What were y'all discussing that made you BLOW UP?

Surely you two could've resolved y'all issue in a calming and rationale matter.

I honestly rather not go into full detail. Not trying to delve too much.
But he was caught off guard at how defensive I got. I dunno why I did at the time. But I apologized afterwards........ The next day.

Ok I can respect that. I'm glad you apologized but the next time you feel like a situation is about to occur just simply walking away, take a walk and clear your head and remember it's never that deep.

Because its not about helping you resolve the actual, practical issue. Its about comforting you and offering moral support. But youre (generally speaking) so uptight, not vulnerable and emotionless that you cant appreciate or savor the feeling of someone trying to love on your feelings. But a wall of bricks to you too
