So I will expand on that comment.

When I heard about Lee Daniels girl group show. I got excited, cause I live for a girl group. Let me name the ones that have slayed me. SWV, TLC, DC, Xscape. Shit, even Monkenstef slays me with their one hit wonder selves.

This was i was asking about. These are not all dark skinned girl groups.  U keep saying this dark skinned thing and i don't understand it either tbh. Black people need to be represented in all colors because we aren't just dark. Not one color needs to be slighted or exalted over the other.  Its like ur looking for a "RIGHT ON" or hand clap but im not clapping. Ur just like hazel but on the flip side

The word "dark" isn't negative to me.


And I was just thinking SWV.
And I know they're all different shades.
But who cares?

who said dark is negative? No one said that. The only one harping on dark skinned is u, which is the reason for this entire conversation. U say u know they're all different shades and who cares but apparently u do. U named groups that were not all dark skinned girls but then say u would have preferred all dark skinned girls because it reminds u of the the groups u loved growing up, and then go on to say who cares about different shades. You're a little EVERYWHERE in here tbh.

I tried to use something that I thought you would understand, since you've been generalizing me in here.

This is frustrating because you guys are COLORING your judgements and looking deeper into things that are NOT EVEN THERE because you THINK you know who I am.

Me saying I thought I'd see three dark-skinned beauties does not mean every black girl group IS dark-skinned... like.
I wanted to see more Kelly Rowlands represented, which I DON'T FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH THAT. And I wanted the group to give me an SWV FEEL!!! That's it.
