I feel like she's always fighting back each era.
Coming back from some dark place.

I would love for her to find some stabilization within herself and slay through and build the momentum.
well now that she's truly free and independent we'll really be able to see if that holds true

she's been through more than most

yh but it's late now.
what do you mean by late? genuinely asking

I thought the interview was good but I don't like the idea of this be promoted as a "come back", she's been "coming back" for 8 years now - it's late.

I think its best to just not expect new music cause u will be disappointed. lol
I kinda hope she goes to another major label eventually honestly cause they pay for the promotion which all artists need. I love her new outlook.

I think she's come too far to go running back to a label now...they don't really pay for promo like that anymore, labels are looking for these buzzing online acts with their own fans nowadays...She's active on Snapchat, Instagram, and has an active Twitter and Facebook page...she promoted herself more than RCA/chameleon ever did...and if she stays independent, she won't have to do a sketchy 360 deal, and won't have to sign over her publishing...

oh I agree

That's more so the media than anything though. I certainly don't view it as a come back because I've never seen or heard her like this before

All labels can do for you is distribute ur project, and they barely do THAT now

Gilgamesh.

I'm starting to feel like there isn't gonna be new music on this tour.

I hope I'm wrong tho.

Rig, some of these she's been saying since Human.

Like...
yea but its easier for some of us to say

Two eras back to back filled with mess, I know, but it was more than just business, or "oh! Damn! Signed with the wrong label lol Woops". Some personal traumatic shit she went through isn't an every day normal occurrence.

It sucks but the fact that she's even recording music at a high level, is a miracle IMO. Most people on this forum probably couldn't handle what she's been able to handle and function

shes talking about depression

People don't get over that in a LIFETIME sometimes. Y'all make everything sound so simple. This article wasn't about a comeback and making hits :dead:

I'd love for the narrative to change and for her to discuss other things, though. Talk about the rise more than focusing on the downfalls for sure

Enough. Talk about it in ur music

.betterwiseup

She need to release an EP soon and drop the album in the fall.

brocka4life

I've read some of these things in past eras and the music never ended up being what was stated in the interviews.
I get things change, but I'm kind of feeling like this is the same old song and dance.
Nice article, and nice to hear that she's not going with a major record label...if that's even what she really meant.
But I've learned to not hold my breath when it comes to things related to Brandy and her music,

MAY

No shade, but you can only tell people the same thing so many times before they start to look at you as a broken record. All the broken promises and talk about doing things differently, only to give the same damn mess over & over again gets frustrating. Then on top of that you don't communicate whatsoever when shit doesn't pan out or go as planned.

I'm sorry, but at this point the fans have a right to be frustrated. We've been wondering about this damn EP for like a year and she has yet to say a word.

It's late. I'm over the talking. I want to see action.

Now I give her props for the whole "B&P" movement. I was impressed with how she stepped out of her comfort zone and delivered, but after all this time I need more than just one song.

b7

She pretty much only discussed Begging n pleading and what that song gave. She said the album will be deeper lyrically, more personal, she wants to tell a story, and she's been writing

I didn't see many descriptive lines here other than that :dead: and certainly not any promises in terms of the sound. What same old song and dance are you referring to?
