It's kind of weird to say Brandy is phony, when she's being candid about depression. It's kinda hard for those two things to co-exist. She's honest, and I wish she was a tad bit more phony when it comes to that.

All the emotional stuff I want to see put into the music and that's it. Unless it's some big network interview, I wish she kept it a lil lighter. I love Iyanlady, but she's only impactful in doses (like with most depressing/inspirational things). People get bored with that stuff easily.

Queen always struck me as the girl who needs a hug every now and again. I think she expects hugs from the general public from telling her story but we aren't a empathetic society. People want your products and services, if it ain't messy nobody really cares. Her fans know her battles, and I think the more seasoned ones understand that Brandy's insecurities run deeper than a few albums. She's always gonna battle that to some level....and that's okay because that makes her inspirational.

So interesting that some of you seem to be acknowledging how important mental health is and how detrimental being a mega celebrity and situations resulting from this celebrity can be...for Brandy. Yet still turn around and stigmatize other artists who went through similar and even worse situations. If some of you are going to finally be empathetic regarding the mental health of others, do it all the way, not when it suits your rhetoric.

Also, I think a few others have said it. Brandy has been saying this for years. This is literally why I just pay most of these threads about interviews. I have accepted that it's just her thing. I think others should do the same while waiting for new music.
