I noticed some of y'all go on about self hate and talk about hair, eye colors in reference to dark skinned women but wouldn't it more more sense to lighten to their skin if they truly hated themselves?

I have a cousin with a TERRIBLE grade of hair. Literally looks like taco meat when grown out.  I would never advise or advocate him growing that mess out.  It don't look good imo. I see memes all the time about women wanting black guys to go back to the low cut with waves. Some women just like a clean cut look and all the rage now is this grown out wild shit. All of this shit is more preference and not at all related to self hate imo. It definitely aint equivalent to no fckn skin bleaching. These examples

That is true! I used the wrong damn perm! I wanted a wave s-curl mess, a texturizer. But ended up putting in the extra strong woman's relaxer mess out. 

Thank God my hair is so skrong and never fell out or anything. I will be patient next time and just grow a kinky mess.

There were a couple of Black men in my office growing their natural hair .
With Black women behind them saying "when you cutting that?"
Referring to it as Brillo, making jokes. Lighthearted! All in fun! Hehe! hoo hoo!

It took everything in me not to book them. I really had to remember those are grown men who can speak for themselves if they're deeply offended.

Some of them hate themselves so much that can't stand to see someone else loving and embracing themselves.
