I love that Black men growing their hair out is in though.

I always hated how a hair cut for a black is means almost bald
A haircut for a man of anyrace still leaves alot of hair on their head.

Malcolm u relax ur hair :dead:
Don't like it btw, was gonna tell u that in that slayana thread LOLZ
No. I don't "relax" my hair, as in on a regular basis. I have done it about 5 or 6 times in my life. Sometimes when I know I will wear braids soon and I grow my hair longer I decide to relax it, cause it gets more voluminous. It is most of the time a pre-cornrows look. But yeah I have relaxed it before also to just switch up my look. Overall I would not advise it, often I regret it, because it takes even more grooming now than before, cause it gets dry.

To get it all glossy and Persian like that, takes ages in the bathroom.

But bby it doesn't look natural. Look at your roots.
Relaxed hair looks dead. Stop doing that. Just take care of your hair normally babe.

I honestly think u U.S. girls are waaaaaaay more hair-aware than we over here. It is not that massive of a deal. It is not giving what the Neymar Jr. pic is, but ok... I do agree that relaxing is not healthy though, and should not be done too much, or even at all... But then I see you trying all kinds of stuff with your hair. You just have to experiment sometimes.

No you're definitely right. Experiment. That's how you find what looks you like. I'm just saying embrace it's natural texture. I'm actually gonna start coloring my mess soon :justabit:
You book anyway sis. Just grow it out if you want and research what kinds of techniques work for you. Your hair is pretty naturally IMO

nnn I don't see many black Americans looking like me to be honest. I can definitely pass as one of them. But I hear Sri Lankan, Tamil or some other Asian mess too damn often. And it is not like that is a socially desirable look either. So I am not trying to succumb to white supremacy or have a more European look. I doubt the gorls find a South Indian mess more sexy or desirable than "light skin African American", I am just aware of how people perceive. And after all 50% of my mess is Palestinian. I act surprised when my sand mess comes thru, but I mean it half of me literally.

I've always kept my hair cut short from a kid to an adult.

About 2 years ago I began letting it grow and I love it. I love being able to see what my texture gives.

The only thing I don't like is having to take time and do my hair in the mornings, but you get used to it.

Black hair is so strong & beautiful when you care for it, and surprisingly it doesn't take as much as you think.

I have a cousin with a TERRIBLE grade of hair. Literally looks like taco meat when grown out.  I would never advise or advocate him growing that mess out.  It don't look good imo. I see memes all the time about women wanting black guys to go back to the low cut with waves. Some women just like a clean cut look and all the rage now is this grown out wild shit. All of this shit is more preference and not at all related to self hate imo. It definitely aint equivalent to no fckn skin bleaching. These examples :dead:

Vonc... :omgwatshappening:

There's no such thing as terrible hair.
im not gonna sit here and play that all hair is good hair game
when ur hair is growing out in KNOTS it aint fckn good, sorry. Nothing wrong with knowing whats what and acting accordingly. go and get that shit cut off and lets move on with the day
This is my pass to say WHATEVER tf I wanna say about the mess she releases so I don't wanna hear SHIT! Baby mama is a mess of a song btw

these neymar pics have me screaming
