But most Dominicans don't have QUITE as kinky hair as the average African American so I think that's where some of the confusion / maybe you're Dominican remarks are coming from.

Yeah I hope it was just poor choice of words. I just don't want him to walk around with that mentality and potentially say that to a dominican person who would clearly be able to tell that he's not. Dominicans are VERY proud and it wouldn't be a good look.
