MAY

How would you manage or run her career if you were in control?

Wtv

wait for "n" "c" and "b" posts.

Thats the best some can do these days  :kii:

Lazarus

Hard to say tbh. She definitely should stick to the vibe of her mixtapes tho.

MelMel

leftout

She's never gonna pop off as a solo music artist

I'd send her to Nickelodeon

The first thing I would do is work on her styling. Sis needs a LOOK.

She has potential, but everything about her visually is so basic.

D.I.E.G.O.

I'd tell her that she should pursue a career as a songwriter not a featured artist/performer.

I think she has better looks than Monica. Just to name one example.

Freemala Harris

Keep her in the alt r&b lane w/ mainstream collabs & touches here and there

There's nothing wrong with having a niche tbh

Look at Twigs & Frank

Also she should make more key collabs w/ big rappers. The Chance & Drake collabos were a step in the right direction. The songs just needed more exposure.

XXX.

Black artists almost always need to solidify some type of core urban audience first.  Then, crossover.  Rihanna is the only black superstar I can think of that dominated in Pop first and then worked on securing an Urban base later.  As long as Tinashe's label keeps marketing her as a Pop princess with stuff like "Superlove" and "Player", I doubt she will ever do anything.  Not to mention, those songs in particular are weak.  One even featured Chris Brown.  How do you cater to a demographic featuring an artist they don't even support?  Bad marketing!

And honestly, girls like Tinashe won't break until Beyonce and Rihanna become washed.  These new girls aren't doing anytihng those 2 don't cover across the industry spectrum as far as looks, sounds & performance.  That's the only reason Nicki was able to really carve out a lane amongst them -- because she offered something different as a rapper.

Tinashe is very early 2000's with the over the top choreography and generic Pop songs.  Her videos would have been like #9 or #10 on TRL.

If I was a Manager, I wouldn't take her on as a client.

Waste of time and dollars.

They are in 2 different lanes. Tin' is trying to be a mainstream Pop gorl.

Just being a cute light-skinned gorl with long hair isn't gonna cut it anymore.

FINE.

but !!!!!!!!!!

BAPHOMET.

and I love a LOT of Tinashe's music. But she's extremely late and disappointing as an overall artist.
Was much better before she signed.
