Yea they pretty much stayed true to the play. I'm sure it's more intense to see on a stage but their acting was beyond good

Amazing. Everybody slayed, even the little girl (interesting plot twist btw). Viola and Denzel owned it tho.

I saw it today, the theater was 90% white people fdkmadsfladsk

and completely full

but yeah lots of dialogue, and every time they said nigga I kinda cringed

It still feels like a play. Some love it, some were bored. I give it a 10/10. The setting is mostly at the house and there isn't a lot of action. The action is in the dialogue. They were acting their asses off.

It was amazing.  The conversation/dialogue was so engaging. Like it really pulled u in.  If u need to see explosions n mess to be entertained then yea opt out of this one

!!!! I haven't seen Denzel like this in a long time. But yeah everyone did great. I've read the play a few times and the twists still made me go "omg".

The way that Viola just delivers! That woman is special. And when Cory and Raynell were singing the song towards the end and he got choked up. :(

@ not seeing Denzel like this.  That's EXACTLY what i was thinking.  I was like i havent seen denzel like REALLY act in a long time. Viola is a great actress but lord i hate that this bitch ALWAYS finds a way to drip slobber and snot over atleast one scene before the credits roll. Mykelti was great too. When he was determined to blow that trumpet at the end

I would be nervous as fuck to have to learn all of Troy's lines for a play! That was A LOT! Reading it is one thing, but hearing Denzel recite them is another.

And he did it so AMAZINGLY. The way he put his all into telling those anecdotes and mess
