Exactly it managed to peak @65 on the Hot100 from R&B plays alone so if sent to pop it would've been a top 40 hit for sure smdh. That still makes me heated. Put it down could've been massive..

Put it down is Brandy's most urban driven song ... It was fresh and young it didn't suck.. it wasnt meant to be a human type meaningful  and vocal driven song

if you put a song out and it doesn't smash but does moderately well

you need to go ahead and release the commercially best song from the album
