Well of course. If the dominant culture (white people) has employed numerous ways to keep minorities subjugated. Historically, deceit, slavery, and religiosity were the main tactics.

Most of these transitioned into modern times while adding things like "respectability and professionalism" as ways to uphold a white standard.

People are quick to dismiss someone who is passionate (what some call angry) even if they have a valid concern. People are quick to try to forgive wrongdoings(on a large scale)  because they are used to them and they believe that some divine plan will magically work itself out. Imo.
