Honestly, I don't think her singing has regressed any. Her tone is just different now, not quite as dark and sultry.

Hmmmm.

I disagree.

I think her tone was very light and girly back then.

It's a lot darker and sultry now.

yea.

she use to give buttery, honey, smooth.

ahh well

Don't get me STARTED.  :gorlonfire:

Between this, "Me, Myself and I", "Signs", "Speechless", "Yes", the end of "Crazy In Love".... it's time to start singing again or I'm gonna have to side with Santana on this 1.  :usuresis:

This damn BITCH would have her foot on some necks even more omf

She did JUST enough on this album

The fact she did the song note for note just like the record with EASE.

I'm SORR'.

She was a beast back then.

She can still sing, obviously, but she has gotten lazy.  And her songs are nowhere near as challenging.

This Beyonc? was everything to me.
I use to live for this woman so damn much

She still slays now but there's no feeling for me
If she can combine these two Beys then omfff

"Love Drought" is a good example I think.

!!!!

I prefer her tone a lot more now.  I just love how she played with harmonies and really gave you belts, runs & wails back in 2003.  Her live performances back then, as a SINGER, shit on everything she has done this decade.

She really used to go for it.  Now, I think she feels the pressure to be "MICHAEL JACKSON!", so her focus is always on putting on a spectacle & doing choreography.  And I can't blame her, because expectations are always so high whenever she touches the stage.

XXX.

These anthems are the perfect example of her tone then vs. now.

(And YEAH, I know they're both lipped.)

She is singing her face off in 2004.  No contest.

But the anthem in 2013 is my favorite because of how full & rich her tone became.

I guess it depends on what you prefer, vocally.

b7

Yea she's set the bar so high performance wise, that I can understand why she can't really focus on the vocal aspect on stage

But in that studio ...  at least bring the harmonies and shit back. It's time

Young

If she can give me the soul and Mess she use to have

With the New PERFORMER she is with a beautiful tone and perfect pitch then I'll LIVE

I just need that soul back from ha!
