Ci had full control during The Evolution. And that is where things got shaky.

You had Bey releasing "Single Ladies" and then you had Rih dropping "Rated R". I think Ciara's team panicked.

She shoulda just stuck to her normal guns to go up against them in 08 and she would have been fine.

I think if Ci had released a different album in place of FR, her career would be so much different.

I don't agree. Fantasy Ride is a great album.
I mean the music is ok but in reality it's a bunch of Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake leftovers.

She lost all her fans after that mess.
Did you actually listen to the album? It was still urban out side of LSM and TWYI maybe but nothing on that album is different than anything on The Evolution. The album is solid. Her best imo after The Evolution then Basic Instinct.

Talisa have you noticed how sis started using illuminati symbolism with the Fanatsy Ride era? :uhh:

Music really CHANGED around that time.
well, they did try and call the Love Sex Magic vidya a Bey mess, so I wouldn't be surprised. Is that what you're talking about?

Opposites Attract.

She lost her fans because she didn't cater to them promotional wise. She didn't do any urban related promo that era just pop focused and a tour with Shit.

Did I listen to it? I'm a Ciara stan and It's in my car right now.

That album was TOTALLY different from her first two albums.

She turned into a different person.

Lazarus please sit the fuck down somewhere with this wannabe unbothered act.

It's late and you're replying to everybody in the thread.
!!!

:kii: :kii: :kii: :kii: not leaving one word replies to everybody, tryna act saddidy. Babe, you look bothered

Like whenever you bring up Rihanna. Ok.
I drag Rihanna with facts and I take pleasure in it.

You're underhanded and a sniper from the side. You can't own up to any of your shady ways and always act surprised when you're called out. Then you continue to be underhanded.

we're nothing alike sis.

Who said anything about us being alike.  :dead: I don't take pleasure in creating bait threads. Nothing about me is underhanded or shady, I just started replying in thread again.  :dead:  What's there to own up to ? Not a damn thing we're all in here discussing different artists. :dead:

"Go Girl" was illuminati DOWN too.

It's like she was fighting some force around that time...idk..shit was just weird. The way that era was total shit from the push backs, the leaks, the shit artwork.

They (illuminati/label) were punishing her for something.

Image wise yeah she totally alienated her core base but musically nothing on FR is different from The Evolution. Bang It Up, CLHA, the songs she did with P and will.i.am. Same sound imo.

Im sorry but :kii:
Ciara aint HARDLY a fckn artist. She doesn't even know what her sound is.

She does. Its her mid tempo sensual songs. Its been her lane since Promise and she's supplied us with newer versions each album (Like A Surgeon, Ride, I Run It, Body Party, DUI, Lullaby)

Quote from: Vonc2002 on April 19, 2017, 08:49:41 PM
Her music is more often than not TERRIBLE and that's partly because she doesn't know what she wants to do or be musically

Goodies - Goodies, 1 2 Step, Oh, And I
Evolu - Promise, Get Up, Like A Boy
FR - Never Ever, LSM, Work
Basic - Ride, Gimme Dat
Ci - Body Party, I'm Out
Tackie - I Bet, Dance...

You established in threads prior that you don't/haven't listened to a Ci's albums. So basing it off singles alone I only see 2.5 truly bad songs. Where's all this terrible music?

With FR, I think Ci did get lost in the shuffle, in an attempt to maintain her pop radio airplay, appease her label, and of course please her fans. But the industry made a shift between 07-08 and for some reason Top 40 radio started to disregard most Urban music. I think she felt she had to switch it up in some kinda way. And I'm sure there was label pressure as well. It all culminated in a bunch of experimental songs that barely connected with anyone, an album with songs on it that were put on YouTube months ahead of time, and minimal label backing. Oh, and the BeyHive wanted her head :dead:

she just wasn't lucky that go round.
