I tried watching Season 1 ,because my friend works on the show.  I wanted to support.  But I just can't get into these musical shows.  Just never been my flavor.

It got renewed for a 2nd season.  How?  I don't know.

You need to have a certain number of episodes for a show to go into syndication. Once it's in syndication it guarantees the actors a check pretty much for the rest of their life.

Taraji knows if she leaves now the show will be cancelled. So she's going to thug it out till the syndication episode Mark.

you never want to stay in a role more than 3-4 seasons
Its an automatic typecast and charactermesh with your brand
like Kerry washington doing another role right now on tv is just gonna give olivia pope

with that girl from SVU thats been on there for over 15 years
shes gonna have a very hard time selling herself as another character if that every ends
