I just think she was being a bitch.  Was she entitled to feel how she felt? Yes.  But The unwritten rule in Hollywood is that you will promote your film internationally.  Indie films are a must at Cannes.  It's part of the job.  She was the star of the film.

She didn't think that all the way through.  A lot of bridges were burned by doing that.  I think Lee could have held his friend down more, but I do not believe all of her problems were a result of Lee Daniels and Oprah.

Some people associate being loud and opinionated with ghettoness when it comes to black people--especially dark skin black people. If I am not mistaken, Adrienne is a big fan of Ms. Cardi B....but she's not boisterous huh? You love this behavior from her, but see it as something else in monique. People see color and their own prejudice perceptions before they see ppl

They declined the offer to do it and they said what would it take to get her to do it?

My thing is by the time Cannes came around the movie was already a success in the US ...they really couldn't afford to fly everybody first class or drop 40k on a private jet return flight for the cast?

I feel the bridge was burned when Monique decided not to thank them during her Oscar speech.
