First of all, Ghost killing the CO and them covering it up with that bullshit ass story 

A man being accused of killing a federal agent kills a CO in cold blood and gets away with it? plea'! I'm pretty sure his DNA would have been all over the weight and the security cameras in the hallway would have shown him being the last person alone with Charlie Murphy's character.

Anyway, the writing has moments where it could be ingenius, but it gets bogged down by the unnecessary sex scenes and half ass performances by most of the cast. Ghost and Angela are the only decent actors on the whole damn show. At this point, I'm only watching to ogle at Omari every chance I get.

I do agree with you for the most part.  The Wire is one of my favorite shows ever (if not my favorite), and this pales in comparison.  It has its moments where it could really be brilliant, like you said, but they always miss the mark.  I've been enjoying this season, though.  Way less sex and more of a story.

PLEASE!     Whoever did the casting for The Wire is incredible.  I don't think I ever saw anyone on the show that couldn't act.  Even down to the kids!  And I've never seen a show tell such a complicated & intricate story so seamlessly over so many seasons without it ever feeling unbelievable.  They were so committed to the story, and when it was your time to go, it was your fucking time go!  UGH!  Love that show.    Meanwhile, I'm watching Naturi struggle through these lines every single week.

This episode was like the best one yet! Omari acted his ass off this episode IMO. Tariq needs some lessons he didn't seem phased that he was gonna get a bullet to that skull.

Tommy remains my favorite character. He gives no fucks a true fucking savage.
