I'm still Team Ashanti on this but Faded has a point I guess.
I mean, not really but Merry Chris'!
exactly
I said that because Faded was lying and exaggerating to try and differentiate
Beyonc? has never had on a big ass ball gown doing a lap dance
On the BET awards and on the DC3 tour she?s wearing a thin evening gown
that definitely shows off her body just as much as Ashanti
and even further, during Partition she actually is on a pole doing a stripper/exotic dancer routine so y?all can stop this bullshit trying to paint her in some prude virginal light in comparison to Ashanti there is no difference
and I could maybe see if the person getting the lap dance was throwing the money, but it was someone in the audience
if anyone has even been to a strip club you would know that
Ppl only throw money when a dancer is on stage on the pole
When it?s a lap dance/private dance usually you pay up front, keep your hands to yourself or maybe but money in the girl?s g-string
Ugh you again

Ball gown, evening dress. Whatever. Fact is Beyonce could have easily attended a formal event offstage in what she wore during that performance and no one would have batted an eyelid.

Do you think she could have strutted into the GG's in this dominatrix ensemble without getting lashed?

You can rant and rave all you want about how they are both revealing outfits in one way or another and how that makes them "technically" one in the same but sorry that's not how it works. For most of the general public those two 'fits evoke two totally different perceptions. DC3 were very deliberate in making sure they paired the lapdances with relatively modest attire for that very reason.
No one is trying to paint Bee off as a saint, just pointing out why there was an obvious disconnect between Ashanti's lapdsnce performance and her audience's perception of it, that Beyonce never faced during hers. Unless you're aguing that Ashanti just gives off "cheap stripper" naturally no matter what the circumstances, i'm not really sure what your counter point is.
And let's be clear if Beyonce had ever stopped the show in the middle of that C2U lapdance segment to lash an audience member and proclaim that she was "not a fucking stripper" with the same viscous "better than" attitude that Ashanti had here, there'd be several thousands lined up to snatch her wig and point out the irony of that statement. Wendall would be at the front if that line.
Luckily Queen deals with these situations with more humility and grace. Like when the guy damn near swiped her off the stage, she defended him from being tossed out of the show because she understood that she put herself out there and he just got a little carried away in the moment.
