also tiffany went on tyra show and tyra apologized for yelling at her  so its all good now lolz
Tiffany somewhere moving on with her life. sfsfssf

She definitely sabotaged herself on the show and its unfortunate but understandable given where she comes from.

Tyra could have had a little more understanding as to why she didn't want to show vulnerability in that moment.
ssssssssssssssssssss

Tyra and her stans aren't here for blacks from shithole areas it seems

is it Trump :plzstop:

super sad she yelled at that girl because of her own .... insecurities lolz
I know that wasn't for me cuz I am from Southside Queens, so I know the complexities that can come with that first hand.

I'm giving Tiffany a pass.

But I'm glad she let her know being from the hood doesn't give you a pass to keep a hood mentality intact.

Embrace where you come from and celebrate it because when you can make it out the hood other people need to know they are able to do it too.

I hate when people get out of the hood and act like they don't know what it is anymore.
well that's problematic

Tyra just got done kicking the girl off the show. Not exactly "showing her how to make it out the hood" :dead:
And all the judges admitted she was the best, and I've seen Tyra fight against the judges for wrong decisions before

so why didn't she fight for Tiffany? :dead:

it's a fine line between berating someone because of your own insecurities, and reaching back to educate

Tyra stereotyped her because she was "rolling your eyes" and "acting like she can't read" :dead:

it's ok to say Tyra reached in the situation IMO

I don't think Tyra handled the moment correctly. I already said I didn't like it.

That was the one time she rubbed me the wrong way.

If you're really from the hood you should have had a LOT more understanding for Tiffany. Understand why she doesn't want to cry in the face of defeat and disappointment. Understand why she has her guard up. Really understand why she sabotaged herself.

The Tiffany mess is one thing I cannot defend for Tyra cuz my heart was definitely with Goddess.

its crazy how much mess is offensive from the past when u really go back and look at it

like literally 70% of mess i look at now from older shows, etc. would have been CHECKED in 2018.

its actually a good thing. words like "problematic" and mess can get annoying cuz I feel many people overuse or misuse them sometimes ...but overall i'd rather live in a time where no attack against people of color - whether it be subtle or direct - is tolerated or left unchecked.

KNdkjndsss

I rememebr two years ago I was watching older episodes of big Brother and I watched a season from 2002/2003 and my jaw dropped because they were interveiwing a black gays mother and she flat out said something along the lines

"I was worried about the fact that my son was...a FAGGOT"  :stressed:

They didn't bleep it out and they didn't even mention she said that. I was so shocked. like you really don't realize how much things change. :plzstop:

!!!

I was watching Waiting To Exhale the other night and the whole "my dvy is a faggot" scene definitely wouldn't have made it past the cutting room floor in 2018.

Tbh I think Tyra handled it wrong because she was acting like she was a helpless white woman and Tiffany raising her voice half a whisper was some type of violent attack, but I don't think Tyra was pissed because she was smiling and laughing. I think she was pissed because she realized Tiffany really didn't care. The smiling and laughing was the icing on the cake.

Cause I remember Tiffany pretty much gave up. She barely tried to read the teleprompter, tried to stop and give up, the judges encouraged her and when she pushed through they were happy and cheering her own, but then she walked out defeated and upset because she was clearly over it. I think Tyra was pissed because Tiffany had the potential, but she gave up.

I remember this episode and it always seemed to me like Tyra didn't like Yaya's intelligence and the fact that she had no problem speaking up for herself.
Honestly Tyra seems like a bit of a bitch imo. that infamous clip of tyra screaming at that girl confuses me too. I never watched the show so maybe I'm missing context but from what I could see it looks like she was mad at her for not being sad about being eliminated :dead:
She was saying bye to the girls and it seemed like tyra wanted her too be torn up about it

tthat gorl should have WON that season.  literally everyone wantd her to win.. and the way she was smiling and happy to go back to the slums of inglewood wasnt the TEA for tyra.. her life could have changed .. i see where tyra was coming from
s

so that gives her the right to shit on her?
sounded like Tyra was embarrassed and let the white judges pick on her
"oh I came from the hood too, but you see how I act" ... girl :dead:
