I hate when people think "expressing their own opinion" means their opinion should be immune from criticism as well

It should be seen as an opportunity to educate, but instead people lash out at others, which doesn't  allow them to see the error, they'll just keep their mouths closed in the future. I'm starting to think that "oppressed" groups would prefer people to hate in silence, which is ridiculous because that doesn't really promote change, it's just a facade.  Up until recent years, people in this country really thought we were living in a Post-Racial America, simply because the hatred has been on the down low.

I think it's a great thing when people let you know where they stand on certain issues, it allows you to make a fully informed decision on how and where you spend your Black gay dollar.
