I actually got what raven meant about being an American tho.  U don't specify white people like that so why am I not just an American. Black is my race but American is my nationality. The distinction is just a way of highlighting there's a difference imo. Idgaf about the whole AA/Black thing but if that was her point, I get it

I am sorry. This lady is a fucking idiot. I do get what she meant while it is difficult for me to receive it from her.

Additionally, I do often wonder why to be black and successful always equals top performing entertainers and athletes. (I mean this in the sense as these are typically what people hash tag as #goals)
