and technically, i would say "i'm black" or "i'm west indian" "Carribbean" before i say "african american"... it's just how i relate to myself.

Iono what this thread is about because I missed the post she made but that name thing she said is dumb af. Different cultures, ethnicities, etc have their own things and names is definitely a part of that.  Should the marisols and Miguels stop using those names because we can clearly identify them being of Latin heritage right away? What makes our names so terrible? They are too far removed from John or Jill so they're ghetto and should be frowned upon? Fck this girl
