blck ppl kill me

But you don't think that has anything to do with the big wigs at record companies or radio companies wanting to showcase that side of black life, though. TI admitted that he talked so much about selling drugs at the beginning of his career because he was encouraged to do so.  And he came from the hood and was just happy to keep his mama's lights on.

Not saying that it 's right at all.  A lot of these people have checkered pasts, but now they are working hard to do positive things for their communities.  You can't just ignore the good, and only focus on the bad.

Also, a lot of these guys in the pic like Swiss Beatz, Puffy, Big Sean have never presented those kinds of stereotypes in their music.   She just lumped them all together.

I mean, there's a reason why the Will Smiths and Nick Cannons of music aren't the top rappers. It's clearly orchestrated behind the scenes to bring edge to the forefront..
s

Not to mention they suck ass

I know one thing

I'd surely be clutching my purse in that room full of jigaboos and spooks

Let?s not defend this bitch just cuz we like that?s so raven.  This is fuckin trash

The only time she wants to suddenly speak on black men and women is when she?s putting another group of those same men and women down. Fuck her

And she only deleted this because she wants to keep her new Disney show

Unfortunately everybody couldn?t grow up on Disney checks.

At the same rate you are judging these black men for what they did 1-2-3 decades ago. Let?s also talk about the white men in corporate suits doing the same.

That too but they wouldn't be even if they were great rappers..

ya rock muh world.

But honestly I remember when I first heard about Will's efforts to not use profanity, etc. in his records, not talk about the gun life , fucking hoes, his dick, etc...

And honestly how can a rapper not "suck" if they're not doing any of that?

The standard says: demean women, talk about black struggle, threaten to fight someone, glorify sporadic and excessive money spending, etc. If you're not doing any of the above you're a "cornball", "corny", "boring", etc.

What she said has truth but ...

She basically went after puppets and failed to acknowledge the influence of the puppeteers.

It's ultimately a cycle that is bought into by many.

The men on the CD covers aren't the ones in control and running things. No matter how many of their songs claim they are.

If you wanna dig in, DIG in. Don't half ass it.
Unless you're scared to offend any certain group in particular. In that case, just don't say anything at all.

woooooo!!

Every time I see her speaking out on race, it's directed at Black people.
Watermelondrea (when her own name is far from "proper"), now this shade to rappers.

Does anyone have any footage or receipts of her taking time to acknowledge the societal forces that CONTRIBUTE to a bunch of the mess she wants Blacks to "do better" at?

She's coming off as a coon to me. Just sing your little Disney songs and call it a day.
!!!!! NEVER

She hasn?t spoken out about shit and she was Ms. contrarian and super PC with the black lives matter movement as well. What a damn COON, period.
