I don't think she really gathered his logic.
She just seems to know how to back people into a corner. Bring slavery into it. Bring their momma into it. Their grandmother. Ask them questions that they cannot say no to.
I could wake up tomorrow and decide...
hey, you know what, I deserve a raise from my job. I deserve it because I'm Black and I that's how I know I'm not getting paid enough. Period.
Now, if I were to tell my Black coworkers my thoughts and they said, "Umm I think your salary's fair and pretty much the average in the market, based on your qualifications."
Using Mo'Nique's tactic , my rebuttal would be "Do you have a Black cousin? Have you heard of slavery? Have you tasted a raisin in the sun? Strange fruit.", etc.
Pretty much make them feel bad for even moving to question me. Instead of directly coming for their logic.
