Of course.

We grow up in the Black church being told to pray about any and everything for a fix, waiting on hold for jesus to pick up the mainline etc.

Get what you need. Sometimes nothing but a listening ear can make people feel better. Especially when its a very neutral party.

It?s the emotional aspect that has me nervous about it. I?m the one who suggested it because l know i have anger/temper problem. I?ve calmed down a lot over the years but it?s still there. I hold a lot of things in, so when I?m angry l explode.

I would. I've actually been thinking of going myself.

I know l need to do it to be a better person and to learn to handle things better

You have nothing to lose. Ultimately this is your decision to make. I think that the therapy could be able to provide you with tools that will help you to to stop holding in so much - and teach you how to do it in a way that's tactful enough not to cause conflict but effective and straightforward enough for you not to be left with more baggage to carry around.

Yeah i hate emotions. I hate tapping into them but I know it?s something that should be done. When I?m angry, that?s IT. That?s the only time you see emotion from me is when I?m angry

I start tomorrow and I'm kinda second guessing myself
Yes! Go, it will be one of the best investments you ever made for yourself, within yourself. I did it because my burdens felt so heavy always angry and mad and by talking about it with some in confident, and them having a different perspective and helping me pull everything that I was bottling up and bring it to the surface so I can release it! One of the best things I could've ever did, I move through life with so much freedom, and as light as possible; I love it. Of course I'm not perfect, but where I use to be I have came along way to go. Therapy helped a lot with that.
