Annie seems to hate Iyanla but doesn?t hesitate to post about an episode. Girl, if you don?t like it, don?t watch it. You obviously still find it to be entertaining.

Jay, what field aren?t you knowledgeable of and ?currently? studying? You been in school since at least 1952.

Iyanla?s show is just a starting point to healing it. There are resources after the show and they recommend continued therapy to most of the people that go on.

I only watched the previews because of Trina and that one episode with the kidnapped girl so I don?t know what you are talking about.  I don?t like Iyanla that is my opinion and this is a discussion board..she is not a real therapist. If you think this is normal behavior than good luck to you.

TBH I like her approach.

She forces your problems in your face so you have to deal with it.

You can't dance around the demon, you have to put your fists up and BOX that demon infront of her.

Stuff like that gives therapists, Psychotherapists, psychiatrists, etc. a bad reputation because people who are gullible tend to believe that?s the way they are when that?s not the case at all. I?m saying this as someone who is studying Psychology and have a strong knowledge of the field.

I think it's pretty obvious that Iyanla is pretty extreme in her approach.

Don't think anyone thinks therapists walk around using Ebonics as they conduct their sessions and mess.
