The DeBarge sample alone in Foolish makes it more iconic and it def still gets played on the radio.

R y?all retarded
i don't even remember how Foolish goes v

Ci's music was certified in 2004 and 2015. Ashanti's last cert was probably before 2008

No one remembers her songs or can even tell you the title. Baby sounds like Always There When You Call sounds like Happy. Sorry.
can?t remember her but quoted 4 songs off the dome

Ashanti had a bigger peak tho.

Goodies is still bigger than anything Ashanti has ever done

Foolish says hello. It spent 10 weeks at No.1 :dead:

But who is listening to foolish today? Goodies still gets play

,

Foolish still resonate with audiences around world.  :dead:

So does goodies

And the only reason anyone talks about foolish is when it's reference to "one more chance"

Goodies started a damn movement! Crunk and B  anyone ?
Everyone was stealing princess' sound

The question is who had the biggest legacy/had the biggest impact on music, not who's still the most relevant.

So to stick by the actual question, I have to go with Ashitti. She stormed in and made a huge impact on pop (R&B) music AND culture with her debut. Ashanti started that whole "talentless pretty lightskinned gorl" movement in the early 2000s. :dead:
Yea i dont even like fckn Ashanti.....AT ALL :dead:
But her legacy is a bit.....well....BETTER! She stormed thru and broke records, won grammys, etc. Why are y'all discussing who's relevant today :plzstop:
Ciara doesnt have some impressive resume musically.
This is my pass to say WHATEVER tf I wanna say about the mess she releases so I don't wanna hear SHIT! Baby mama is a mess of a song btw

And exactly how relevant is CIARA?

I mean, take Future & Russ out the picture and what do you really have?

That girl is a professional sidekick.

that's not included in this

We're talking about legacies in general. Ciara has an app, endorsements, partnerships and contracts galore. Her relevancy is an indication to the strength of her legacy. Ashanti's legacy in music includes a song where the lyrics read baby, baby, baby, baby, baby, baby

Like PLEA  :dead:

That Crunk & B movement was started by Usher. Goodies was just a rip off.  :dead: And that movement became stale after a year or so but dew.  :dead:

They were both released in the same year usher in Jan of 2004  and Ciara in June.

No one listens to goodies for Petey

If we?re talking overall impact on music, I?d say the pendulum still swings in Ciara?s direction. She had signature dances and repopularized the matrix move. I?d say she was also one of the front runners to do the whole alter ego thing with her 3rd album.

I can?t really recall the last time Ashanti made a significant impact on pop culture.
