I was referring to Boom's post. People who come from low income neighborhoods treasure these types of items because it gives them a false sense of elevated social class. Which is understandable, many of them grow up with next to nothing and are constantly reminded how low they are on the economic totem pole. A fresh pair of Jordans means the world to them.
