GORLLLLLLL  everyone starts at the bottom until they are not.. at the end of the day DC surpassed 702 and the rest and thats that.

You are completely missing the point.  :uhh:

i see the point but MISS me with that. yall are NOT gonna discredit DC .

You slow ass boy nobody?s discrediting them.

It?s the fact that y?all are making 702 out to be Sista or some shit

i like 702 but they are NOT as big as they think they are

you cant think of the 90s without thinking 702 lolz
  GORLLL

What solo covers did they have?  Sister 2 Sister and Jet in 1999?  That?s like half a step up from Word Up and Black Beat, but can you explain why Vibe had them share an article if they were nowhere near in DC?s league?

Ssw, during Destiny's Child debut era they snagged a Billboard Music Award nomination.

You?re right.  They got it for the debut.  Did they get any from MTV Awards and of Grammys?

I find it curious that such huge international stars such as DC in 1999 weren?t all over many red carpets.  Because I only saw them get Lady of Soul Awards back then.

Dc was never on 702 level.

No no no was an international smash and outpeaked every 702 single to date

N bills went straight to the top

These alternative facts y?all keep  :kii:

Flop02 has never even had a number 1 on the RnB charts  :kii:

There were only facts posted.  DC had two flip singles between No No No and Bills.  I love Get on the Bus and With Me, but they flopped.  Their debut album was not certified until 2 years after its release.  They were not huge artists at the time.  They were performing on the same Lady of Soul stages as 702 and other R&B acts at the time.

I was a fan of both groups in the nineties.  They were peers, briefly, until DC obviously took off and surpassed them in 2000.  In the summer when both Girls and Bills were out, they were both certified smashes from two young girl groups.  Bills reached #1 and was huge, but white people loved Girls and played it out for a LONG time.

On the 1999 year-end charts, Bills was #21 while Girls was #11.  So, yes, Bills peaked a few spots higher, but Girls had longevity and got more play over the course of the year.

By the time Say My Name came out, 702 became an afterthought.

Dead at you trying to convince yourself they weren?t huge but they were charting WW and selling out shows. Picking up awards.

All these song you mentioned, were hits overseas particularly huge in the UK and the Netherlands.
702 can?t even sell out a bathroom there during happy hour.

Dc was Multiplatinum before say my name came out.
When has 702 been multiplatinum anything?  :kii:

No one is talking about how songs charted in Timbuktu and Uzbekistan.  I?m talking about the Hot 100 in the USA.

The UK and NL are two of the biggest markets in music. Are you dumb?

International charts are irrelevant in this particular discussion.  I?m talking about status in the US in 1999.

It?s very relevant. Since you like to pretend dc wasn?t bigger from the get.
Keep twirling around your lies and alternative facts. Even lax had to point out one of your lies in regards to their presence at awards.

I can admit I was wrong that they got a Billboard nod in 98.  Yet you like to pretend The Netherlands is relevant to the discussion when it was asked when 702 had a top 12 year-end single on the Hot 100, answered that Girls was #11 on the year-end chart, and that the song actually landed higher there than Bills.  That was DC?s big song of 1999, and Girls was like ten spots higher on the year-end chart.  That is a fact.  702 was not ever popular again after that song, but I was only ever talking about when those two first singles were out.

Destiny's Child was definitely riding the one hit wonder wave until The Writing's On The Wall. Their debut era failed to produce any more hits. Their album didn't even reached the upperhalf after a monster hit like No, No No and barely scanned platinum.
... With Me Flopped and the album only had 2 singles

Get on the Bus wasn?t even a US single, nor was it from any of their projects so no, not really.

Destiny?s Child (album) also went Multiplatinum in Canada and Gold in the UK...something 70POO never achieved anywhere. So yea

DC from the time they came out > 702

🦚

And these are just the ones that can be currently found online.

Can someone post 70Who on any major let alone international platform  :plzstop:

Dc was so big overseas TWOTW album showcase was held in Europe instead of the US   :plzstop:

I wish they would stop lying and pretending they were bigger than they really were.

Out of all the 90s girlgroups they were at the bottom of the list. Even below brownstone.

Can?t think of the 90s without thinking of 702. Really?  :kii:
