It all sounds...weird? She sounds great duh ....I don't know how to explain it like the production  is mediocre? I wish she'd push the boat out more with production, because she'll always sound amazing no matter what, but it seems like the vocals and lyrical content are the focus here.

im not familiar with studio trickery but those ticks sound like he's adding more sounds or something as they work. Im not sure but someone here will know more than i will. But your concern is the one I've shared over the past few weeks with DJ camper and im hoping to be wrong

Def weird but I would call it mediocre (especially not mixed and mastered).

I feel you tho, it is different. Which is why all Brandy albums (with the exception of the first and maybe NSN) I needed time to really hear what?s going on. That?s why her projects have a great shelf life and don?t date. It takes a second for the ear to catch up and once it does it makes radio shit sound like Fisher Price.

It?s always a gamble creating a new sound. I try to never judge a song or set expectations based on a snippet or song title.

These snippets all sound like they are just being created and recorded or in the beginning stage.
