There's something I like about Rachel, she's not a terrible person. And she's right, black (and race in general) is socially constructed. Yes, biology does have a bit to do with it (because your genes determine your features, which in turn determines your socially appointed "race"); however it is not an ethnicity.
But she needs to stand her ground.
Stop thinking so much about your answers. If you wanna be a black womuh, just say it. Stand by that. Defend your views. People on the show are trying to pick your brain and they can't do that if you're sitting there trying to figure out what you THINK we want to hear from you. That's the only thing really annoying me right now.
Bitch , if you would check the "black" box on that Howard application just SAY it. And explain why. This gazing into space mess that she's doing trying to figure out answers that won't offend us is frustrating as hell.
