I remember years ago Mary J Blige was meant to perform with Queen at the grammys for their duet Never Gonna Break My Faith. The song was nominated for a Golden Globe and grammy. Queen said Mary could sit this one out and got Bebe Winans to replace her during the grammy performance. The Mary stans were heated but all Mary said was that she loved and respected Queen and would do as she was told with no explanation. She was literally clueless as to why she was cut. Actually the last grammy she ever won was for this song.

When Mary first came out Chaka Khan told her I don't see it for you and I won't duet with you until you're long in the game. 20 something years later Mary wrote this song for her, which won Chaka her last grammy.
